About
After a successful 2016 campaign in which the club led its conference in scoring, made a deep playoff run, and created a legion of loyal supporters, the organization could not be more thrilled about its partnership with the San Diego Surf Soccer Club, the club’s move to the PDL, its new name and look, and the tremendous opportunities afforded to the entire San Diego County community by bringing the Surf’s home matches to the heart of downtown Carlsbad.

The Surf enters the Southwest Division of the PDL and will begin a new rivalry with San Diego neighbors Zest FC during the 2017 season as part of an exciting home schedule to be
played at the Army and Navy Academy.

As an organization, we collectively strive for success both on and off the field and are deeply committed to being good stewards of the sport. These three primary objectives are our focus going into the 2017 season and beyond:

Provide High-Level Soccer to the Southern California region:  Southern California Surf aims to provide local soccer fans with quality soccer entertainment through our own games and by supporting exhibition matches featuring professional teams from the Southern California region.  A supporting goal is to provide financial stability to ensure a long term presence in San Diego County.  We will focus on building a strong foundation within the local business community and our fans.

Prepare Elite Players to Play at the Next Level:  A priority for any minor-league club is to develop players who will be promoted to higher levels of the sport.  While we will field a team that can compete for championships, it is more important to cultivate their talent by providing an experienced coaching staff, a professional environment, and high-level competition.

Develop Strong Local Partnerships:  SoCal Surf will conduct business operations in a professional manner to foster long-term relationships with businesses and organizations.  It is our desire to partner with area-owned businesses as sponsors, and source locally for our organization when possible.
